Thanks Bluetooth for your encouragement and RavenX for your finding WinXP is better score than WinXP 64-bit. Got 12273 as a quick result here

Oh and if you are wondering...

I have a BFG 6800 Ultra OC,(BFG is the best in my opinion, a lifetime warranty).

It is clocked factory at Core/MEM 425/1100
I have it clocked to 440/1300. That is what the Nvidia drivers picked as optimum, and there are no artifacts or tearing.

New Score for me:

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=3212694

Update to follow - Gondo, looks like you have a bit of work to do, not much, but this is such a tough test to do better on.

Has anyone run tests on 3dmark05 default yet? I have using the hotfix V1.1 patch - scored 5401 points, not even in top 80!! DAMN it's tough, even running at 415/1200

2005 is tough, I can't run the card over 425 without artifacts. These benchmarks are subjective though. I could run my card all the way to 460 and have horrible artifacting, but there is no way anyone else would know.

But I only post results that have no artifacts or tearing.

I am running the 6.6.7.2 drivers now, haven't tried it on 3dmark03 yet.

Yeah, if you post with artifacts then you are only cheating yourself, theres no way you can play games on it for any amount of time so whats the point.

Like Gondo, I only post stable results with no artifacts, I can run 415/1200 all day on UT2004 with no issues at all, this is the speed setting I use for benchies too.

Of course I am mighty chuffed with my achievements so far, but on the leaderboard at fuurmark I am no where near (outside the top 40) the top of the charts - but who knows what trickery they are using to get those results??

All I can tell you is I am running 270FSB, machII cooled 3.2Ghz P4 (4.3Ghz), with DDR550 CAS2.5 OCZ RAM, watercooled northbridge and an overclocked 6800GT - some of the other guys in the leaderboard above me have lesser machines but score well - I keep improving but am still way off the pace.

Perhaps they have benchmark optimised drivers?

Futuremark benchies usually favour AMD64/FX/ATI setups for some reason, either way they do not really relfect true gaming performance.

I also notice that there is not a big difference between stock and overclocked results for my setup. leaving me to believe that at 4.3GHZ my CPU is a bottleneck

Just my thoughts of course, no axe to grind just saying what I see.
