Recommendation for Raid card
Hi guys,
Never purchased raid card before.
Would like to seek some opinions.
Dell PowerEdge T710, with total of 8 HDD slots available.
When it was purchased previously, it came with a Raid card configured with raid 1 (mirror).
This was used for the OS.
In the device manager, it shows "Dell SAS 6/iR Integrated Controller". I presume this is the raid card.
We run software raid 5 in win2008, since we are unable to get another raid card due to some reasons.
Total of 6 x 1 TB was used. To achieve 5TB storage.
Now, we would like to get hardware raid card.
Any recommendations?
Anything to watch out for when choosing the raid card?
I'm also concern about the compatibilty to be used on T710.
