Hello OCW
Q1. Tell us why you want the free gift and how do you intend to use it.
A1: I will install the card to play Carbon and 3D mark, the FPS must better than my EN6600 more and more.

Q2. Why is the 7600GT better value than the other cards?
A2. Because the core clock and memory clock are more faster than others, so why i want it.

Q3. Your recommended friend's userid.
A3. Tibau

Hello people!

1. I NEED this Card to upgrade!!! Right now I've got a Geforce 6800LE (PCI-E) that (unlike the AGP-6800s) can not unlock additional pixel-pipes.
I had to overclock it. Still it is only as fast as a 6600gt. :(
Once there are more 2nd hand cards with 7600gt chipset available I will definitely buy one. (I only upgrade via Ebay ;) )
It would be great to have a card that does not need to be modified/overclocked to run reasonably!!!!!!!

2. the 7600gt is comparably cheap. It is the same price as a ATI 1650 Pro/Xt but slightly faster. And the high-end cards are too expensive >200 Euros compared to 110 Euros. Definitely a better value!
I've still got shutter glasses (by Elsa) which I sometimes use to play old games. Therefore I NEED an nvidia card.
Finally the card stays quite cool and the fan is more or less silent.
AND the card fits perfectly into my computer (size, color, performance...)

And I have > 20 posts and help keeping the OCW Forum vital and interesting!

3. New user is: architreu from my hometown...

OK, here's my response:

1. I'm currently getting involved in a lot more live video & music performances which involves moving my only useable workstation around to lots of different venues and putting all my data at risk. This card would be the final part to finish off my conroe build, as this is the only thing preventing me from using it as my gig workstation at the moment. Another thing I would find very useful is the HDMI output, which will be well suited for high quality projection & larger TVs.

2. The 7600GT is cheaper than the X1800GTO, and doesn't perform as well. I beleive that the 7600GT has true HDMI too.

3. OK, I hope me introducing a friend after him finding one of my posts & registering counts! This person is Worzel.

Good luck everyone!

1) I'd like to build a HTPC. Winning a 7600GT would really help that along.
2) You can't beat the 7600GT in the price range. It's a lot of bang for the buck.
2) onestoptakeaway. He's been very active in the forums and I believe the 7600GT would be a step up from his present card.

Q1. Tell us why you want the free gift and how do you intend to use it.
A1: I would like to win it to install in my HTPC. My current onboard Geforce 6150 simply cannot play that many games.

Q2. Why is the 7600GT better value than the other cards?
A2. I have always prefered Nvidia graphics cards over other manufacturers cards. Nvidia always seem to have better driver support. I have no doubt that this 7600GT will outperform the competition's offerings.

Q3. Your recommended friend's userid.
A3. funkflex
