My power problem is solved. I had a bad ps and after I replaced it, everything went great. Thank you hamstrings!
I am now on my second build with identical parts. When I turn the computer on, the load freezes after displaying/recognizing the ram. I tested the ram stick in the first computer and eliminated it as the problem. I also cleared cmos. No luck...still same situation. Any advice would be appreciated.

ECS support told me that the AGP and PCI clocks of the P4M800PRO-M v2 are locked at the standard frequencies (AGP=66MHz, PCI=33MHz) independent of the CPU FSB.
However, owners of this motherboard have proved that the AGP and PCI clocks vary with FSB.
And a new BIOS has been released with E4300 support.

Yeah, baby, Yeah.

whitmorr, are the slots clear of debris?
I attempted to push my Celeron 2.8GHz. I initially thought the board had locked PCI and AGP buses, but I ran into trouble at 170MHz FSB. Although the processor and the RAM passed stress testing with flying colours, operating systems would crash upon loading. I've swapped graphics cards and experimented with timings. I believe the PATA controller is unable to take the stress.

Anyone having trouble with their USB ports? I'm trying to transfer a large 500MB file from a 1GB USB drive. At 50 seconds remaining in the transfer I get an error "delayed write failed". I can transfer smaller files without any problem. I tried to update my USB 2.0 driver using the driver on ECS website and also the driver on Via website, but they dont fix the problem. I even tried a fresh install of XP SP2, and that didn't work. Any ideas or do I have a bad motherboard?
Thanks

jbirdie,
If you are using the front USB ports on the case, then have you tried the rear USB ports on the mainboard itself?
