Which K8 chipset mainboards do you prefer ?

Well just got my MSI K8N2 today been abit of a pain to setup Windows wasn't goingto to let me install it on my SATA while i had the two IDE drives on My floppy drive has been a huge pain also, it won't work in the case but it will work out of the case ????????

This was a replacement board for my ASUS A8V which didn't have PCI locks. I have now got my A65 3500+ @ 2.61Ghz can't seem to get my memory to work correctly @ 260MHz DDR might need a add in DDR voltage card or something. Geil memory is quite hungry for voltage. Not sure how to setup the firewall yet.

I would definitely prefer SiS-chipsets, if they were placed on enthusiastboards as well. As you see from my sig, I already use SiS735 and SiS748 in two of my desktops, and they have never caused a single problem. I also use the SiS 645DX in my laptop, and it is as foolproof as well. I often use it as a HTPC in the livingroom, and it streams movies like a dream.

But my mainrig is Nvidia, Nforce2, and it is more fun to play with. Not because of the chipset itself, but because it is used on more fully featured boards. But there IS bugs in the Nvidia chipset/drivers-combo not encountered on the SiS-boards.

So my impression is mixed:
Nvidia = fun, features
SiS = reliability, economy

As I hope for more "fun" boards with SiS-chipsets, I will vote for SiS, but since it is not very likely I will see such a board soon I guess my next purchase will be a Nforce4.
