Connect PS/2 Mouse to MB

I need to connect a PS/2 mouse to the ASROCK 880G Pro 3 motherboard to connect to a KVM. There is a PS/2 keyboard connector and various USB connectors for a mouse.

I tried a USB-to-PS/2 adapter and that did not work.

I tried to contact ASROCK (twice) but never get a response of any kind.

Has someone done this? One option is a PCI card with a PS/2 mouse port but that takes up a slot and will it work?
