Sorry all; I haven't forgot the team just super busy and alot of traveling with the child adoption. I read the posts whenever I get the chance. Will put the beast back to folding some when I finally get the chance to stay home some.
Iggy, I hope you haven't dropped too many positions! :(

NP, OCdECS - just come back whenever you have some time. I just hope that with all running around, you're OK, and glad to hear from you.
No, we haven't droped much, or at all, thanks to Gondo coming back, and Chem starting folding with good MHz!

Thanks Iggy, I always seem to surprise you LOL Glad I can, trying to do a mass upload again... but this is several hours, about 5 now, to dump 150 plus gens for 4 machines..... Never say never, grab the rifle, and trudge ahead. Movement is something, sitting waiting to be shot at, is another. ;)

Looks like this new Protein is making it real hard to compete with 7G..no production estimates..no idea where we both really are..and no point getting any extra Boxen, for all we know cached Gens may never see the light of day
Just keep Folding, you never know what the old Grumpster may have Buffering :D

Well the net is your friend. This made my life much easier.
I got tired of firing up df from each directory on my dualie, and manually setting the processor affinity in windows task manager. so I did some researching, and a file can do this, but it comes on the NT4 disk, well I searched for quite a while and finally found it on the net.
You need the file imagecfg.exe and it is very easy from there.
the command, in a dos box:
imagecfg -a 0x? d:\df/foldtrajlite.exe
will do the trick permanantly, till you mabe update, mabe it is permanent for that file in that folder, could be, it might modify the affinity mask or something, new to me...
? being
CPU MASK
0 0x1
1 0x2
2 0x4
3 0x8
4 0x10
5 0x20
6 0x40
etc...
Now everytime I fire it up, even through DFGuI it always has the right processor affinity, instead of using both processors as a default.
If you forget to manually change the affinity, and keep both processes using both CPU's, if one hits a tight spot for awhile, it will drag down both processors.
I would imagine it will still work if they are installed as a service also, going to try that, gonna set my Dualie up to have a default login at power on, and to restart automatically after a power outage, then possibly, it will all fire back up, and keep going, assuming the abrupt stop doesn't BORK the DF upload list.

course typo's are not your friend....
in the example imagecfg -a 0x? d:\df/ note that typo, and fix it accordingly ;) how did that forward slash sneak in there, I must be tired.

Course I really should have put that in a new thread, instead of burrying it 59 pages into a neverending thread.... I am tired.
