I know this isnt microsoft support, but since I cant use there free support anymore, I thought I'd ask a knowledgeable group about my problem.

Okay everytime I try to play a sound file i.e mp3 the player opens and its says "class not registered." It seems to do this with all types of sound files, and when you go and try to play a video file it plays but there is no sound. I am running WMP 9 and I have all the current drivers for everything. has this happened to anyone else, and does anyone know a solution to my problem? There is no support documents on this problem anywhere on the microsoft site. IS there a way to completely uninstall WMP. Im sure a fresh install would fix the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

Matt
