Radeon HD 4850 gaming results comparable to 9800GX2 ?

We tested a Gigabyte GV-NX98X1GHI-B NVIDIA 9800GX2 on a similar configuration before.

From some of the early results we have seen, the Radeon HD 4850 is still very far away on reaching the 3DMark numbers the 9800GX2 can churn out.

This is not surprising as we are actually comparing a single graphics core vs SLI. Results in game benchmarks tells otherwise. In some of the tests, the results are within 10fps of differences. That is not too far off.

All tests were based on Intel QX9770 running at default of 3.2GHz on Intel X48 or nForce 790i board with 2GB of DDR3 modules.
