interesting K7S5A packaging evolution

just got yet another K7S5A (RMA a second time for a "won't POST without clearing CMOS" problem).

they have changed the box, as well as added a lockdown lever to the AGP slot. they also seem to have forgotten to include the custom I/O shield that I have gotten with every previous board.

board markings include a silkscreened "ver 3.1" and a paste on "2", as well as the "XP" by the socket.

at least this one is working!

Is this board bronze in color (Like the PcChips) ?

With LAN ?

I just got one and is mark ver 3.1 and with 0 sticker.

020626 BIOS.

The I/O Shield was in the Box.

I guess you'd call the color bronze...

I suspect the lack of the I/O shield is just their typical quality control extended to packaging! [img]smile.gif[/img]
