It goes something like this...
Commodore 64 -> Commodore Amiga 500 -> 486 66Mhz -> Intel Pentium 166Mhz -> Intel Celeron 400Mhz -> Intel Pentium III 800Mhz -> Athlon Thunderbird 1.4Ghz -> Athlon XP "Barton" 3000+ -> ???
Seems like Mhz's keep on doubling... ;)

Good topic:
zx81, BBC Model B (tape, upgraded to dual floppy drive!), Acorn A5000, 486 100, k6-2 300, k6-2 500 (briefly), Athlon 1Ghz, Athlon 64 3200+ (939).
The k6-2 300 was a disappointing piece of kit, a year or two in, didn't have the power behind it to play divxs, and wouldn't OC in the slightest.
Ignoring the 500 (which I only had for a couple of months) I've been approximately tripling my raw processor power with every upgrade. In the past few years that mantra has saved me 2 generations of processor (Tbird and XP), unfortunately it now means I'll have to wait for a 10GHz rated processor to come out before my next purchase!

Here what I own/owned:
- Commodore 16

- Atari 520ST
- Atari 1040ST
- Commodore Amiga 1200

My first computer experiences were, however, on my best friend's Commodore Vic20 (22 years ago): we used to program (using the ugly Commodore Basic) text adventures like the ones by Scott Adams (do you remember?) ;)
Bye!
