Default Sony launches α700 DSLR

Singapore, 11 October, 2007 – Sony adds another member to its range of high-quality digital SLR cameras with the launch of the powerful and feature-packed α700.

Powered by Sony’s 12.24-megapixel CMOS sensor “Exmor” and Bionz™ image processing engine, the α700 delivers sublime picture quality with high resolution, and noise-free components. The launch of the α700 creates a new class of camera between entry-level and professional digital SLRs.

The α700 has been developed to connect a range of new and innovative Sony technologies with advanced features inherited from Konica Minolta®, guaranteeing an exceptional shooting experience with versatile imaging performance, high speed, and instant response. New features introduced enhance the performance of the α700, delivering high-quality shooting and viewing experiences.

“Since Sony’s launch of our α-series last year, we have expanded our range of cameras so that more people can enjoy the experience of using digital SLR cameras. With the launch of the α700, we have created a new class of camera between entry-level and professional digital SLRs“, said Mr. Kobayashi, MD of Sony Singapore.

“The α700 features industry-first technologies resulting in a combination of sharp, vivid, noise-free images, high-quality play-back, and ease-of-use. This combination makes the α700 perfect for passionate, amateur photographers, as well as dedicated semi-professionals and professionals.”
