Philippine Update
The new vido cards have made quite an impact in the Philippines, mainly the 7900GT on the high-end, 7600 mid-range and the 7300 at the low-end. "Bang-for-the-buck" is the operative word here...
AM2 processors are also gaining popularity, especially the prevalent single-core Sempron and Athlon 64s. Most enthusiasts are still s939 based (and loyal to this platform!) given the scope of investment in memory and mobos.
Online gaming is prevalent, albeit DSL is still an atrocious deal, with 128K or thereabouts the norm for personal use (while the local service providers in Tokyo (where I live and work) are upgrading lines to Gigabit Ethernet)!
More soon...
;)

I think the Conroe should be the next big thing in the market for everyone.

I think the bang of the buck now goes to ATi. X1900XT is sure to drop in price and it is the msot affordable card.
