Default Discovering some fun on Lucid Virtu MVp on MSi Z77A-GD55 :)

The fun part will comes later, Discovering fun at least not boring but laughing is!
Given the opportunity to test drive the MSI Z77A-GD55. While the Intel Z77 chipset motherboards will be launching sooner as expected (08th April), but not the Intel Ivy bridge processors (end of April?)
MSI Z77A-GD55 is based on the latest Intel Z77 chipset, using the same Intel LGA1155 socket(same as SandyBridge) and will support the upcoming IvyBridge Intel 22nm processors. Going forward, between the Intel Z68 and the latest Intel Z77 chipset is the addition of native SuperSpeed USB 3.0 and the Pcie3.0.

All four of the USB 3.0 ports (two on the rear panel, two via front-panel header) are wired to the PCH.
GD55 has a 9-phase VRM compared to the 12-phase VRM on the GD65.
has two fewer SATA 6 Gb/s ports compared to the GD65, all its internal ports are wired to the PCH.
That's two SATA 6 Gb/s and four SATA 3 Gb/s
All information on this product is available here.
MSI Global – Mainboard - Z77A-GD55

The MSI Z77A-GD55 mainboard uses Military Class components:
DrMOS II, Hi-C Caps, Super Ferrite Chokes, and Solid Capacitors.
Each of the four parts of the Military Class III technology play a vital role in the capabilities of the MSI Z77A-GD55.
1) The Dr MOS II comprised of 3 in1 chip. The Driver IC, top Mosfet, and the Bottom Mosfet. It started using DrMOS by MSI few years ago.
Dr MOS II, MSI has an added active protection for your motherboard, ability to monitor and prevent damage by using double Thermal Protection. How? It 1st inform the user if the operation temperature hits 115 deg.C, at 130C the system automatically shuts down.
2) The Hi-C capacitors (Highly-Conductive polymerized capacitor) offer a high thermal stability, ultra low ESR, and no mechanical issues. Added great advantage to the Hi-C capacitors is the life span of up to 8 times, of the more traditional solid capacitors still found on many boards today.

3) The SFC or Super Ferrite Chokes offer 10% higher power efficiency, stability and better overclocking.
All of the Military Class III components have passed the testing to be certified by the MIL-STD-810G standard.
4) And the solid capacitors.

THX TruStudio PRO
Features
- A high-fidelity sound reproduction standard
- Accurately reproduce the fullest audio experience of movie, music and game soundtracks

The Z77A-GD55 has two fewer SATA 6 Gb/s ports compared to the GD65, all its internal ports are wired to the PCH. That's two SATA 6 Gb/s and four SATA 3 Gb/s.

Nice to see the main stream Z77A-GD55 with voltage measurement points. Msi really make many Overclockers a happy wishes come true. In January 2012, Msi rep. asked some of us during a chat over dinner for a lists of feedback and improvement. They’re listening to the power users and the likes of enthusiasts.

Now 3dmk 11 benches, with and without Lucid Virtu MVp.

Almost increased by 2k is very impressive on 3dmk11.

3DVantage, with and without Lucid Virtu MVp.
score P20189, Gpu score 18136....without Virtualization.

Score 40170, Gpu score went up 44900! what a difference!
while benching the graphics was stuttering, might be the 6870 under par.
But the score is staggering!

Looks good, running spi32m temp was max. at 52degrees.
After running Cinebench, temp max at 62degrees.
On water-cooling system, I would say temp is good at 4.5ghz run.
