Is it overclocked ? Try setting back to standard and try again ? I'm thinking that you may need to be connected to the internet when you do the install. but could be wrong

Did you try to uninstall, restart, reinstall? Try posting at the main D2OL forum Here.
I haven't had any issue with the installer (although I've only done it twice.)
Are you running an Athlon64? is so check out this thread.

I have been folding for a couple of weeks with 2 boxes (3200 & 2600) and have yet to get even 100,000 points. I am coming over to d20l.

This DF is working fine now. I don't know
what you could do to make two computers not
get any points for two weeks. Set your
computer to offline folding and then
periodically either press the "Upload"
button or use "setup.bat" file to copy to
another file:
(dfold is second directory)
(setup.bat contents)
del c:\dfold
copy c:\distribfold\*.* dfold
cd \distribfold
foldtrajlite -purgeupload 9999
cd \dfold
cls
Then restart folding and then start upload
in dfold with "upload.bat"
:start
foldtrajlite -f protein -n native -ut
goto start
Manually close dos window when process
is completed. This upload could be done
on a separate computer.

Sounds to me like a total delete and reinstall of DF is needed :( 2 weeks...YIKES!

I did a complete reinstall on both systems after the problems were 1st said to be fixed, yet I would get about 10,000 points a day combined. Things were downloading and updating fine, ie no buffered files waiting to upload. I did ofline, online, blah blah to no avail.
I started on D20l a couple of days ago and it seems to be working well. So I am going to stay with d2ol as I can actually see the results and my point total climbing on the OC team.

The only thing I can think of was the Client was not running in Quiet Mode or using Extra Ram :( As long as D2OL is going fine all is good
Ah, seen the other post..grrr, that is weird
