Hi
Today my Rev. 1.1 Baord arrived with the 1.5 Bios.
I can get it upto 10x250 with asynchron RAM. Prime 95 is stable at this clock but above 230MHZ I always get the message VPU Recovery activated.....
AGP/PCI is fixed in BIOS but I think this doesn't work as it should. Maybe you can give me some tips what I could try. By the way S3 is activated.
I have another big Problem. C&Q doesn't work as it should. It doesn't reduce the core voltage and after some minutes the PC shuts down during work.
My Configuration:
Abit KV8 Pro Rev.1.1
A64 3000+ CO @10x250 @1,5V
Arctic Cooling Silencer 64TC
512MB Infineon PC2700 (@ 208MHZ)
HTT Ration @ default (600 HTT produces failures!?!)

For Cool&Quiet, you have to install the AMD driver . I think ABIT provides it in the CDROM, if not , you can download it from AMD website.
HTT @ 600 produces errors? Why shoudl that be the case ? Default is 800 right?

Hi Bluetooth.
I have installed the AMD Driver and the Core Speed is reduced at idle. That works. But it is reduced to 1000MHZ altough I have a C0 Stepping (should be reuduced to 800MHZ). The Core Voltage stays at 1,5V :-(
I don't know. At 800MHZ it works

I thought it should be reduced to 800MHz ? At least for C0 stepping 3200+, it throttles between 800MHz to 2000MHz on the ASrock K8S8X.

I thought so too but it only throttles to 1000MHZ.
I think it's a bug in the bios.

highly possible. That should be able to fix in later BIOS.
Now you shoudl try out the FSB and try 8 x 270.

Can run Super Pi @ 285x8
Memory is asynchron. HTT is @ 2x. That works.
The VPU Recovery message still appears. Therefore I have turned the messaging off.

What score do you get on SuperPi 1M test at that speed?

38s was maximum I could get.
That's not very good but RAM was asynchron (ran below 190MHZ) and therefore it's an acceptable result.
