Jetway motherboard availability
I'm interested in the Jetway HA08 Combo L but can't see it available in the UK - or Europe for that matter.
Is anyone aware of a UK supplier or at least somewhere that will ship to the UK?
Edit: I've emailed Jetway in the Netherlands to ask them where to get one.

Jetway were spectacularly helpful, stating there wasn't any in stock in Europe but I could buy 20 from Hong Kong... Great!
Fortunately I found HA08 Combo (not L) in Norway for around £90 delivered to UK. Ordered.

Maybe so - but AMD motherboards supporting both DDR2 and DDR3 are few and far between. IMO it came down to a straight choice between Jetway HA08 Combo (or L / D variants) and J&W JW-790GXT-Fusion. They were the only boards I could find available that supported that feature. The MSI 790GX-8D looked marginally better but it seems to be vapourwear. I never saw one available - not even in the far east. The price of DDR2 is going up while DDR3 is coming down. Maybe in a year 4GB DDR2 to 8GB DDR3 might be a free upgrade?
My old AsRock 939Dual-SATA2 has given me a taste for gradual upgrades. Just hope the BIOS support remains current with the Jetway board for a long time.
It's funny - Ive grown very fond of that AsRock board. Dont think I'll be parting with it and I'll run it in my spare rig with a few hand me down upgrades here and there.

Got my Jetway Ha08 Combo now. Managed to find a supplier in Norway.
I bought an Athlon X2 5000+ 45nm to go with it. http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AM...0ODGIBOX).html
Using Bios DDR2-A07, ACC and a bit of voltage tweaking, I've unlocked the CPU to Phenom FX5000 (x4 @ 2.2GHz). It's basically a downclocked AM2+ Phenom II 940! Passed a wee run of Prime. Just going to get everything I need installed then I'll be checking how this thing clocks.
