Default replacing the i90hd

i'm thinking about replacing the i90hd board with this one but i have one question from you my friend:

Does it do 1080p Blu-ray playback? the i90Hd doesn't, and no amount of driver updates is fixing it.

Also, i'm not sure if you have one available, but a sata blu-ray drive (pioneer's cheap drive bdc2202) compatibility. Does the board have good compatibility with sata disk drives? I feel like i've been burned on abit's i90hd in terms of support and I don't want to have it happen again.

Are you referring to abit F-I90HD? what brand and what chipset does it use?

If it is ATI(AMD) chipset, it is the same for both Intel and AMD.
Furthermore, if you intend to use the on board graphics to decode 1080p, it might be stressing the system.

What CPU were you formelry using with the F-I90HD ?

Check this portion of my review of another RS600 board

It shows playing back of a Blu ray movie.

Asus' M2A-VM brings HD video to everyone. This cost-effective board has an integrated Radeon X1250 GPU that will let you play HD-DVD or Blu-ray discs through the HDCP compliant DVI-D port. Hook up two monitors for expansive screen real estate, or add a second ATi video card and have SurroundView on four monitors.

Thanks for sharing..
