Intel to launch 45nm Penryn processor next week

Intel is slated to launch the next generation 45nm Penryn processors next week. The penryn series of processors has 12M L2 cache, SSE4 instructions set and lead free.

It is suppose to outperform similarly clocked Quad Core processor.
