ASRock surprises us again with the introduction of yet another product. This time round, they used the NF650i + NF430 chipset and made it to work with all series of CPUs including the upcoming
Intel QX9770 Core 2 Extreme Quad Core processor running 1600FSB.
The model name of this new board is Penryn1600SLI-110dB. It supports the LGA 775 for Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme / Core™ 2 Quad / Core™ 2 Duo / Pentium® Dual Core / Celeron®, supporting Penryn Quad Core Yorkfield and Dual Core Wolfdale processors.
Based on the NVIDIA® 650iSLI (C55) + NVIDIA® nForce 430 Chipsets, it supports all series of Intel LGA775 processors including the FSB1600/1333MHz CPUs. The board also features a all Solid Capacitor design for better stability and overclockability.
The board supports supports Dual Channel DDR2 800/667/533 x 4 DIMM slots, maximum capacity up to 8GB. As it comes with 3 full length PCIe x16 slots, this board supports NVIDIA® SLI™ using the two yellow slots, running at Dual 8x (SLI), otherwise a single card should be fitted into the white slot which operates at PCIe x16. Thus, you save the trouble meddling with peddle cards switching between SLI and non SLI mode. The bundle comes with a free SLI connector.
