Lightbulb What is wrong with Singapore Girls?

Why Singapore women are left on the shelves these days ? Are they too proud or do they prefer foreign white men ?

DO they want to marry together with a servant to serve them like a Queen? Is it because they refuse to give in to the men to do household work or carry on the family life? Are they the cause of the low birth rate as they do not want to bear children?

Discuss.

There is nothing wrong with us. There is something wrong with how men are thinking.

they think they marry a child bearing maid!

That is part and parcel of family life. A family isn't very complete without a child. don't you think so?

I don't think a man treats his wife as a maid. or a child bearing machine.

A child is part and parcel of family life? never think so. anyone can have a child. But to have a child, someone has to bear the responsibility.

i personally wish to have 4 children and out of 4, I am hoping that one of them will follow my family name. But i doubt that would be possible, cause i know most guys will not wish for that.

If u don't think a man treats his wife as a maid or a child bearing machine, then why should they expect the females to know how to cook clean or wash and even have kids?

Both have to be responsible. 4 out of 4 and 1 will follow your name. I don't think that is ever possible. It is not the guy but his family will not allow such a thing to happen.

Come on, knowing how to cook doesn't mean she will be a maid. IF that is the case, some of my male friends who cooks and clean the household is a MAID then?

A woman who knows how to cook generally is able to maintain a family better than someone who doesn't. Why? Most men would prefer to be back home to taste the food from their beloved wife.

As for washing, nowadays you can use the washing machine, so that saves a lot of work, cleaning you have vacuum cleaner.

No matter what, a family is more complete with a child. To equate bearing a child as a bearing machine is unfounded. If that is the case, then our older generation's woman are bearing monsters because they bear at least 3-6 kids in their life time.

If it's not possible, then get the guy to support the children. I can choose not to have any and support any.

I never said that they are maids. Good for them if they do that. But I rather my husband be busy doing other things.

*pukes* "Most men would prefer to be back home to taste the food from their beloved wife." Of course, we all want home cook food. But imagine, I go to wake up at 6:45 am in the morning, get out of the house by 7am, get into work, put in a full day of work, get out of office at 6pm, and get home about 7pm and I AM EXPECTED TO MAKE SURE MY HUSBAND TO BE ABLE TO TASTE FOOD FROM HIS BELOVED WIFE?!?!?! he's definitely dreaming! I rather don't eat. and he can easily go find some woman who don't work to cook his "beloved wife" dinner!

Washing?!!? exactly at which point of my day am i supposed to load the machine? maybe i can rush home during my pathetic lunch break to load it and rush back to work?

Vaccum cleaner?!?! u do think house cleaning is quite simple...

My mom has 5 kids on her own and 1 adopted. She has never in her married life, cook clean or wash or even take care of us by herself. My father had NEVER EVER ask her to do it either. it's not as if my mom is living in the future when I believe all these are possible.

So if they go out and get a mistress that is willing to bear him the children. Will you be willing to accept that?

When i say they cook doesn't mean that they stay at home and cook all day long and take care of household and not holding a proper job.

omg, no wonder so many divorce cases. Maybe they fell in love with hawker food ;) HAHA.

Don't need to rush home to do all this. It can be done in the weekend.
aiyo, ti is not as if I never do any house cleaning before.

Well, maybe your father is rich enough to hire special attendants to take care of you guys and gals. Not all family are as rich or as capable as your father.

Now i know why you have this sort of thinking. Money talks the loudest. How many maids have you at home ?

It is really an enjoyment to taste home cooked food by my mum. Ask any people around, what is the most enjoyable lunch or dinner to have other than home cooked food with family members.

I think most girls in Singapore are pampered. Maybe NS will teach them to be a better wife.

I would accept, but then I will also leave the marriage. If he can get someone who is willing to do what he wants. Then he should be with that person and not me.

I know u meant they have to go work and cook and clean and wash. so basically hold down 2 jobs.

Like i said, many divorce cases are caused by the fact that they keep their eyes closed and mouth shut about their real expectations of the marriage, which I am not.

I am not a fan of hawker food.

Weekend?!?!?! geeez thanks. Work 6 days a week, and still have to do it on sunday. What a great life.

My father is not rich enough to hire special attendants nor do we have special needs. We just have 1 domestic helper who is capable to look after us, whom I am extremely grateful for.

Of course it's a joy to taste home cooked food. But also understand that in this society, there are more things than home cooked food.

I LOVE slaving over the hot stove, I LOVE spending a whole day cooking. But in order to do it, I might have to quit my job. so who's going to pay for my daily expenses and my contributions to my own family? Surely it's not fair to ask that of my husband, afterall HE HAS TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR FAMILY.

I would love to go NS, I think it will be fun.

Firstly NS is not holiday camp that you perceived.
Yes, weekend. They worked 5 days week though. Everytime i call my friend, he is mopping the floor. He even needs a nod from his wife to get out for some gathering with old friends. (i wouldn't want this kind of army life style).

You take one whole day to cook? What do you cook? You don't have to quit your job to cook.

In a marriage, you would need to contribute to 3 families,
1) your children
2) your in-laws
3) your family

In Chinese saying, once a daughter is married off, she belongs to other family.
What is your say?
