AMD will introduce AM3 processor on Feb 8 models quad core 925 915, 820, 810, 3-core 720 & 710
According to our usual sources of information from Europe, AM3 processors will go on sale on Feb 8.
The AM3 processor which contains two memory controllers for DDR2 and DDR3 will have 938 pins and will work on existing AM2+ boards with DDR2 and future DDR3 boards.
Currently, There are a few models and they are 925 915, 820,810, 720 and 710.
9 series has a L2 of 8MB while the 8 series has lesser L3 cache of 6MB and it is also quad core. The 7 series is a tri core processor.
Current Phenom II 920 and 940 will not run on AM3 +DDR3 board as DDR3 support is not available on it.
