Universal abit IP35 Pro board Review
Universal abit IP35 Pro board Review Intro Universal abit brings the feature pack IP35 Pro to the market. The board also comes with Dual full length PCIe slots which allows two graphisc cards to be used on board in CrossFire mode. There are also 6 SATA II ports which supports RAID 0/1/5/10, 2 eSATA by Jmicron MB363, 2 x IEEE 1394, 10 USB ports. -E X16 (x4 bandwidth), 1 x PCI-E X1,
Most importantly, this board has on board power on/off, reset button, that makes and debug led. this makes troubleshooeting easier. Something I like is the EZ for CCMOS. You can now clear the CMOS without opening the casing. Other features include abit µGuru, OC Guru - AutoDrive™, One Click BIOS Update, Auto-Detect Hardware Info, abit SoftMenu™, CPU ThermalGuard™and abit's Silent OTES™ heatpipe technology

I'm considering buying a P35 board to match up with my new Q6600. I was preparing to order a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 when I noticed this review. This really looks like a great board. I haven't used an Abit board since the NF7-S.

Both are good choices.

I did buy this Abit board, but haven't installed it yet. Waiting for a few more parts to come for my new build.

I've never really stressed the board. It was a simply build with extremely easy setup. Used a Q6600 quad, set it to run 3200 MHz (9x356) with default voltages (vcore 1.225) and the Reaper memory at 550 MHz.
Since it's running so well at this speed and default voltages, I would expect it will run much faster if I was so inclined to try.
This is the same Q6600 that topped out at 2700 MHz on my Gigabyte 650i regardless of voltages.
I think this Abit IP35 Pro is one of the best boards on the market.

So the 650i is limiting the CPU's capability. I know that P35 is better than X38 in terms of o/c too.

I don't think the 650i chipset has the voltage regulation needed to power a quad properly. If a person doesn't need SLi or Crossfire and wants to overclock, the P35 is the way to go.
