P4P800S-E i848P Mainboard Wireless Edition
Review (7)
Conclusion The ASUS P4P800S-E shows the innovation ASUS R&D team has put in. In fact, the P4P800S-E is the first board that we received that comes with Wi-Fi Software Access Point capability. In terms of overclockability, this board also reveals very impressive scores. Based on the Intel 848P chipset, the board supports AGP 8x, Single Channel DDR400, Ethernet, 6 ch audio, 2 SATA RAID ports, 8xUSB 2.0, this board excels in performance despite it is a single channel board. In fact, we were surprised that its results are very close to a 865PE (patched). This could have been brought by the fact that its default FSB is 202MHz instead of the 200.x Overclocking wise, it has a almost everything you need. FSB can be adjusted from 100 ~ 400Mhz at 1mhz stepping. AGP can be FIX at 66. In our tests, we ran the P4 2.4C and overclocked it up to 270MHz using a stick of Corsair XMS3500-C2 running at CAS 2, 6-2-2, 5:4 Ratio. In another separate test, we ran the board up to 280MHz easily with the GeIL DDR533 256M module. Overall, the ASUS P4P800S-E is an innovative and quite a good overclocking board for those who loves to overclock it to extremes. With a mere difference in performance compared to the dual channel boards. This board is definitely a cheaper and stable board to consider. Suggested Retail : Pricing Info Pros 好处:
