As we know, there are a lot of
chipset makers based in Taiwan. All
chipset makers have their strengths and weaknesses when designing their
chipsets. ULi being a mainboard/notebook chipset subsidiary of ALi. If you are a
notebook user, you would not be surprised that a lot of the notebooks are using
the South Bridges from ULi. Not only on notebooks, their south bridge are also
paired up with Transmeta and ATi integrated chipsets.
Bruce also spoke about the upcoming K8 North
Bridge supporting PCI-E with nVidia PCIe VGA card SLi Multi-GPU
technology and server solutions using the ULi chipsets. ULi also confirms their
commitment to the 64 bits driver support for Linux and MS platforms.
