Benchmarks - DVD Shrink

DVD Shrink 3.2 is a common software that is used by video buffs who loves to archive their favourite DVDs from the DL 9GB disc into the more commonly found 4.7GB DVD +-R disc.

In this test, we convert our DVD, Terminator 2 Extreme Edition DVD from DVD9 to DVD5 format using auto setting and video preview enabled. Below are the timings recorded using the two difference processor. The shorter the timing, the better it is.

From the chart, we can see that the 4CoreDual-VSTA performs pretty well in comparison with the Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6. This is probably because the modules ran on the ASRock boards are all running in 1T timing. Furthermore, both DDR and DDR2 are running in SYNC with CPU. The 965P runs memory at ASync DDR2-800 at CAS 5,5-5-18,2T.
