Benchmarks

We put 2 G45 boards and 1 G43 board to the test.

For the ECS G45 board ECS G45T-M2, we used a E6550 with 2GB DDR2-1066 modules. As the board only allow us to set DDR2-667 or DDR2-800, the board is to run at CAS 5,5-5-15,2T DDR2-800. Windows Experience Index scored 4.3

For the ASRock G43Twins-FullHD board, it is tested using a E6550 with 2GB DDR2-1066 modules. (Due to CPU:RAM ratio, the ram was running at DDR2-1000). The ram timings are C5,7-7-24,2T, Windows Experience Index score 4.3

For the Gigabyte GA-EG45M-DS2H, it is tested with a QX9770 with 2GB DDR2-1066 modules. The ram timings are C5,7-7-24,2T. Windows Experience Index scored 4.2.

Using the Sisoft Sandra XII, we can easily detect the differences between the two boards running the same E6550 (333x7) Processor. As the ASRock G43Twins-FullHD runs at DDR2-1000, a non officially supported  speed, the memory bandwidth is better. In fact this benefited the other short tests we throw at the benchmark software.
