Benchmarks

In this test, we checked out the memory performance, arithmetic and multimedia performance of the tri channel X58 board in comparison with some of p45/X48 with QX9770 (3.2GHz) boards we tested before.

As we can see from the charts below, the memory performance is 14.25GB/s. On a traditional DDR2/DDR3 X48 system, the result is only 7GB/s. This doubled the memory bandwidth of the X48+QX9770.

From the charts below, we can see that the Core i7 940 wins the all the Quad Core processors based scoring 51.64GIPs, 49.41GLOPS.

In terms of Multimedia, it left the higher clock speed QX9770 in shame.
