Benchmarks

3DMark05

The Gigabyte GV-NX98X1GHI-B comes with 1 GB GDDR3 and supports the PCIe 2.0 standard. It has 256 stream processors and clocks at 600/1500/1000 (Core/Shader/Memory). The memory interface is 512 bits. In our test, we used the latest available ForceWare 174.53 running on ASUS  Extrme Strike nF 790i mainboard. The mainboard is paried up with a pair of Kingston DDR3 running at CAS 7-7-7-20, 2T DDR3-1066.

The card is first tested with 3Dmark05. In the first run, the CPU runs at 3.2GHz (8x400) and the graphics card is not o/c. The card scored 19355. To test it's limits, we overclocked the CPU to 4GHz by raising CPU voltage on board. We achieved a score of 23112, that is a 19% increase. At 4GHz, we raised the bar by adjusting the GPU core to 720MHz. We get an end result of 23147, just 35 points higher than when the card is run at 600/1000.

3DMark06

The same test is done using 3Dmark06 as the benchmark. Default score was 16400. With the CPU o/c to 4GHz, the score shot up to 19164. Further overclock to the GPU gave it a boost of another ~ 70 points to reach 19231.
